A quick update on pre-Super Tuesday events
Written by Michael Vass
Hillary Clinton is trying the tears again. I suppose that since it worked once it’s worth a try again. Though I doubt that it makes much of a difference for anyone that pays attention to the actual polices, dodges of questions, and the multiple dirty political ads, smears and personal racial attacks. But how the Conneticut voters react is going to tell it all.
Senator Obama is in New Jersey, making his push to take New York and the tri-state area. It will be funny and dramatic if Senator Obama takes NY from Hillary since this is her “home” state. My bet says she will lose this state.
And the Republicans are all over pushing to end the stalemate that their party has been in since the Primaries have started. Will there be a strong indication on who will get the nomination? Absolutely. I expect Mike Huckabee to fail horribly and finally walk away from the race. Mitt Romney will hold out though he will lose most of the states on Super Tuesday.
Overall I look to see Senator John McCain leading the Republicans, and taking the nomination. On the Democrat side it’s really too close to call but I think Senator Obama nudges the lead. If I’m right, this will be one hell of a Presidential race. If it’s Clinton, then it will be a blowout election. But more on that tomorrow.
It’s short, but I’m still dealing with my Super Bowl hangover and the party for the Giant’s making a sweet victory!
