Is the National Popular Vote the answer?

Presidential Candidate

Here is a new twist on a very old problem. The problem is the Electoral College voting system. No one likes it. It has caused more arguements recently than almost ever before. It sways the way politicians speak to parts of the nation, if at all in some places. On top of that, most in the nation just don’t understand how it works.

The twist being proposed by the National Popular Vote, is that all the electoral votes go to the Presidential candidate that wins the popular vote of the nation. The state winner is meaningless under this plan. It changes how everything is done today.

I can’t see either party loving this system, which means it probably has merit. What do you think?
